Kalea went to the pediatrician for her 18 month well child check on Thursday. As I could have told you, she's practically perfect in every way.

She weighs 21 lbs, 8 oz & is now a full 32 inches long. Tall girl! The pediatrician said that everything looked great as far as her development & even commented how verbal she was. As far as that goes, it's been pretty neat the last month as she adds words & phrases to her communication arsenal. Right now she says these words/phrases regularly: mama, dada, didy (Cassidy), kitty, puppy, beep-beep (as she points to her nose), quack, moooo, woof, want-dat (that), what-dat?, up-down (often one after the other because she confuses the two), der-you-go (there you go), peas (please), thank you, tickle-tickle-tickle, open, outside, cereal, mack (milk), bee-bee (baby or blankie). And I'm sure there's a few more I'm forgetting. She's learning her body parts & can point, when asked, to her nose, eyes, ears, mouth, head, legs, arms, feet, hands & belly. She's walking, running, climbing up on chairs & tables and generally starting to act like a big girl! (I'm not ready for this!)

We're so proud of her & love watching her grow & grow!
