Ingredients
cupcakes - any variety
white or buttercream icing
blue food coloring
granulated sugar or coconut flakes
chocolate morsels
small soft chocolate chip cookies cut in half
small plastic baggy
scissors
Instructions
- spoon a few spoonfuls of white icing into the corner of your small plastic baggy
- mix blue food coloring into icing & sugar/coconut flakes (in separate bowls!)
- spread icing on cupcakes
- sprinkle sugar or coconut on top to create "fur"
- cut off a small tip off the small plastic baggy & pipe the white eye part onto cupcake
- place morsels on top of white piped eyes
- dip flat half of cut cookie into leftover blue icing & place as "mouth" (this helps it stick to the sugar/coconut a little better)
- sing the "C is for Cookie" song as you serve the cutest cupcakes ever

Ah!!! i am so gonna have to break my resolution for them... they look so evilishly yummy.....
Totally worth it! :)
super super super cute. i have a problem with cupcakes. in that i love them too much. not to mention the blue goodness that would come from these :p
These are amazing!! Thanks for sharing. I'll definitely be making some . . . (or at least trying to!).
wow, those are adorable! I wish my kids were littler so I'd have an excuse to make them!
Good luck! They were totally easier than I thought they'd be. The hardest part is not sampling too much as you go! :)
I think we have the same problem...I think I ate three in a matter of an hour. Mmmmm, delicious!
Eh, kids of all ages loved them at our picnic. In fact, I'm pretty sure there was a three way tie for biggest fan of the cookie monster cupcakes: my 2 year old daughter, my 2 year old nephew & my 30 year old brother-in-law!
How cute are those?! My kids would love them (who am I kidding, mommy would probably love them too)!
Really cute!

Thanks! I think I'm going to try to re-create them with another character sooner or later too. I've seen Elmo & Oscar the Grouch done really well before too.
I think this mommy loved them nearly as much as the toddler did. Really though, what's not to like when there is chocolate, gooey goodness!
