sprinkler fun!

A few weeks ago we got a sprinkler for the backyard. Cassidy & Michael had a lot of fun chasing the water back & forth, running through the water & being silly. While Marco & Gus, who join us outside occasionally to graze on the grass, weren't too sure what to make of the water, Cassidy absolutely loved the new, wet game. It's a nice cool relief from the hot, desert weather in Utah.

Michael did a lot of work in the backyard this year to fill in holes & get rid of an infestation of thistle - a very pretty purple flower/weed that spreads like crazy & is one of the most prickly plants I've encountered. With those things taken care of we've been able to spend a lot more time in our backyard this summer & are enjoying letting Cassidy run around. Hopefully sometime in the near future we'll be able to add a patio/picnic table area & maybe even some outside toys for Cassidy & #2 to enjoy! More pictures here.
