{don't miss a beat birthday}

For the first time in our girls' lives we're within driving distance of family for a birthday party! A music theme was the only way to go for our girl whose hips start swaying every time she hears music, who dances & spins daily and who has been singing little Kalea songs longer than she's had real words to talk. We planned, sent out invitations & were so excited to have cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents & friends come celebrate our little girl turning 2! She.was.thrilled. It was also the first time some of our family & a few friends would be visiting our house so it was a doubly exciting day.
"I has birfday?!? I has cake?!?" Clearly Kalea figured out whats what when it comes to celebrating. Being 6 weeks out from my due date we made it simple. Evites, easy picnic style food, Publix pull-apart cupcakes - which are a brilliant invention. if you don't know what they are, take a look at this example. no cutting of cake, no choosing size etc. easy, simple, brilliant. go publix! - and lots of sitting on my part.

It was fun to see the girls running around their house with their cousins on daddy's side, especially since it was the first time they'd ever been able to do that. Living in the same state helps, right? We had a fun time singing, listening to music, dancing, opening presents...and watching Georgia football. Notice the football BabyLegs that Cassidy is wearing? Hey, that's what we get for having kids with birthdays during football season! For the record, we beat New Mexico. Go Dogs!

 Thanks to everyone who came to celebrate with our baby girl. She can't wait to do it again next year!
