Happy Pioneer Day!

...only in Utah, right? It's a state holiday celebrating the day when Brigham Young & the settlers arrived in the Salt Lake Valley. I don't mind having the day off though! We had a relaxing day - we went up to Park City & had lunch with Michael, Cassidy got a hair cut & Jackie got a few things done around the house.

We haven't posted on the blog in a while, but have been having a great summer so far.
Jackie's cousin, Amy, & her husband, Chris, stopped by on their way through SLC during a trip to Yellowstone National Park & the Tetons. It was fun to have them visit for the day.On the fourth of July (Cassidy's 20 month birthday!), Cassidy got a new wagon - compliments of Gran & Poppy. Thank you!!! She loves riding around the yard & up & down the block in it.

Later in the afternoon friends came over for a cookout & splash party in the little kiddie pool. The kids had a blast & the adults enjoyed watching them wear themselves out!
A few weeks later, we spent a week in PA visiting family (pictures here!) & attending the wedding of one of Jackie's good friends from TFA Atlanta. It was so nice to spend time with everyone, go swimming & go swimming some more! Cassidy made herself at home at Grandma & Grandpa's house & was running the show by the time we left. She also really had a great time playing with her cousin Sean - especially when we got to have dinner at his house & jump on the trampoline.Besides that we're getting started to get ready for new baby. Jackie's belly keeps getting bigger - almost to the point where she can't see her feet without bending over a little now! Cassidy will be moving to a 'big girl' bedroom downstairs. We've gotten some furniture & will be painting this weekend in hopes of making the transition by August 1st. We'll post some pictures & updates once the room is complete. Hope all is well with you!
